Manual Maps Upload (Side-Loading)

This approach is now obsolete. The Online Map Library (introduced in v1.5) is the recommended way to share maps.

Note

• This tool is used only when you receive a map file from another user (via Discord, cloud drive, or direct link).
• Community Shared Maps
• After uploading the map to headset, aligning it and saving. It will appear in Manager app!

• Uploaded maps behave like any other map. After saving them on the headset, they become part of your organization’s maps in the Manager app.

Instructions

1. Close the Spatial Ops game on your headset.

2. Connect the headset to your PC with a USB cable.

3. Download and unzip the Upload Tool.

4. Copy your map files into the Maps folder inside the tool directory:

   • Windows: toolPath/Maps/...

     

     

   • macOS: toolPath/Maps/...

     

5. Run the included script:

   • Windows: Upload_maps_to_SpatialOps.bat
   • macOS: Upload_maps_to_SpatialOps.command

6. Look for a Success message:

   • Windows: shows confirmation in Command Prompt.

     

   • macOS: shows confirmation in Terminal.

     

7. Start the game on your headset — the new maps will appear.

8. Edit the map directly in-game:

   • Align it to your play space.
   • Make modifications as desired.

9. Save the map.

10. Once saved, the new map will sync and appear in the Manager app.
